I’m so excited to be working together on this custom project! Please read this entire listing before making your deposit as this is your ‘custom agreement’. This listing will also give you an idea on timeframes, expectations etc.
Firstly, the discussed quote is all inclusive of labour, materials etc and you will not be required to pay more unless otherwise discussed (basically, there are no hidden fees). If you are based outside of Australia, you may be required to pay for shipping which is $50 AUD. This is a DHL express service and usually arrives within 5 business days.
Your quoted amount was $2,450 AUD which includes:
1 × 14ct Yellow Gold Ring with two solid Australian Boulder Opals from Winton, Queensland.
After this $1,225 deposit is paid your order goes into my workflow queue. You may see me working on other items + projects for a couple of weeks before I start on yours, please do not be discouraged, you haven’t been forgotten I promise! I just work through my queue in the order that each project comes in. Generally though I try to get to it ASAP!
The completion timeframe on custom items entirely depends on things like reply times, how soon I receive your ring size, final design decisions, changes/tweaks and how busy my workflow is.
Order flow looks a little like:
➡️ Your order goes onto my work flow, and can take 1-4+ weeks to progress to the front of the queue.
➡️ Wax creation happens once you reach front of the queue (1-3+ days)
➡️ You approve final design following any tweaks needed + we send for casting into metal (2-3 week turnaround)
➡️ Metal is back and ready for finishing (2-3 days)
✨ Ring is complete and ready for shipping
I will be updating you along the way as we move through the order flow, but essentially its roughly a minimum of 6 weeks in best case scenario, but please allow around 12 weeks.
At minimum I will let you know when:
Stones arrive (if we’re ordering them)
When the wax model/design has been made (tweaks can be made here)
When The item has been sent for casting (aka turned into metal)
When I have the metals back
Lastly, of course when the item is complete.
There may be updates in between depending on how things are flowing but that’s pretty much it. You are absolutely welcome to check in at any time to get an update on where you’re at in the order process, but hopefully you’ll already know!
