ABOUT KATIE FLINN…

Hey! I’m Katie - The creator behind ‘Katie Flinn Design’. What started out as a jewellery brand has now morphed into a multifaceted business offering Jewellery, Online Education and Business Mentoring ⚡️

A little about my background — I was born and raised in New Zealand but have called Australia home for 9 years! I’m currently living and working from my van full time while travelling Australia. I handcraft every piece of jewellery from start to finish in my van/home/studio.

My journey with jewellery started out in a tiny blue room in Pushkar, India back in 2016. I went to a silversmithing workshop on a whim and absolutely fell in love with the craft. I ended up going back every day for two weeks and eventually purchased a starter tool kit and returned back to Australia to continue creating jewellery from my bedroom with hopes of starting a business.

Since then, I have achieved a few milestones such as:

  • Officially launching Katie Flinn Design as a business in 2018

  • Relocating to Melbourne to pursue my business goals in April 2019.

  • Stocking my designs at the retailer ‘Design A Space’ in Fitzroy, Melbourne from May 2019 - December 2019.

  • Taking my business full time from my home studio in February 2020 and making 6 figures every year since then

  • Launched two Online Jewellery Courses

  • Started mentoring other small business creatives

  • Moved my business into my van and am travelling full time across Australia

Here you’ll find some pretty epic Jewellery made with the highest quality materials and gems — crafted to last. I am inspired by fantasy worlds, organic textures and undulating, melting movement. A key aspect of my style is creating jewellery that is flowing, seamless and whole - almost as if it was found out in the world already made. I am also a big sci-fi and fantasy fan (I listen to audiobooks while working) which has given my jewellery a mystical tone.

Lastly, at the core — my true soul mission on this earth is to empower creatives with better mindset and strategy to take their businesses to the next level. This is currently manifesting in the form of accessible online programs for digestible and potent trainings, and personal mentorship via business ‘Masterminds’ (aka group coaching).
